James M. Kirimi

James is a Managing Director at Rook Consultants. He has over 14 years of professional experience in accounting, audit and tax consultancy.

James has initially worked for about 11 years with two of the Big 4 accounting/audit firms. He started his Career with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) where he worked for over 7 years in Kenya, Zambia and United Kingdom (UK). He later joined Deloitte & Touche East Africa (Deloitte) where he worked in Kenya and Tanzania for over 4 years.

James is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) registered by the National Board of Accountants and Auditors Tanzania (NBAA) and a Tax Consultant registered by the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA). He is also a member of the Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK).

James holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from University of Nairobi, Kenya.

James was a Senior Manager at Deloitte Tanzania, when he left in 2012 and co-founded Rook Consultants Ltd.
